The most important thing when you feel out of control, as I did the other morning, is to take control of your attitude. You’ll say it’s  easy for me as it’s only 100 days…..however I have been thinking what if…… I have also been thinking about how important it is to Design a space for the possible eventuality…….

PEESTARCK

IMAGE left is the make shift ramp, not very designer-ish but functional enough to get up the two 6” high steps to my front door. We could also do an Ipe wood covered ramp to match the deck, however plywood is going to do the trick for the 100 days. Note the wide entrance walkway to the front gate, allows for wheelchair and people access side by side!

IMAGE right shows the new chrome designer grab bar (on the right side), a grab bar which has now become a necessity but  does not distract from the design of the Phillipe Stark commode …..  Note of all the published images of our Spa ensuite this is the first time the commode has been revealed!

When I woke up this morning at 6.30am my first thought was in 48 hours I’ll be getting ready for surgery.

On January 26th I learned that the recuperation journey will be about 100 days; that’s this week added to the 12 weeks after my ankle surgery scheduled for next Monday. So this is my personal diary ONE HUNDRED DAYS; it’s really self – therapy to help me deal with the days to come ……..  however it will also keep friends and foe alike updated right here on my Images of Life blog, or check the list below in case you have missed one.
