One Hundred Days: Day Fourteen
What does normal mean? Every time we changeĀ what we expect in our lives does it become a new normal?
Who would have known how things would change and all I did was break an ankle, require a hardware upgrade to my foot and embark on a 100 day recuperation journey. Doesn’t sound like much…..and in the over all scheme of things it isn’t really, but I think the changes we make now will be incorporated into our future lifestyle; at least some of them will and maybe more than we think. Not all bad.
The designer grab bars will stay, not so sure about the temporary wheelchair ramp but that maybe replaced with something better looking and more permanent. Electric golf cart…well that could be a keeper for moving stuff around our property, to and from the barn….and ultimately to service the guest house when that materializes.
James is checking out the golf cart options as I write…..though the Harley Davidson older model he looked at last week seemed like a great idea…everyone wants a Harley…..it wasn’t electric and besides it didn’t run and needed work:-)
What’s new today? Less pain & discomfort in the ankle department, and more upright time tooling around and working from the trusty hospice wheelchair. Very decreased meds. More back on the track project work accomplished than any day since it all happened!
Waiting in trepidation for Wednesday ‘s trip to SOC in Seattle, where my cast will be removed…..and much revealed……
