One Hundred Days: Valentines Day 2015

Spread the love

To some of us Valentines day is not really significant – as every day is special day when you are with someone you love – and what some people show once a year should be an integral part of the DNA of your relationship.

In 25 years I think I’ve only received 4 or 5 cards, but last years card – image above- was the very best- and those who know us will crack up – It was created by my business partner James, who morphed into my partner for life!

Year 2000 was a gift year and I received twelve dozen tulips in designer coordinated colors ~ memorable to say the least  ~ but I do receive gifts of flowers all year long…

This year it’s the gift of being there for me as I navigate the one hundred day, sometimes bumpy recuperation journey after I broke my ankle and had reconstruction surgery, a surgery which resulted in a considerable hardware upgrade.

Conclusion: Being a carer is not an easy slot to fulfill, and everyone is not automatically suitable for the role. However, it seems many more people who are generally not inclined to be the caregiver are quite able to rise to the occasion and end up doing a superb job.

Challenge: Ice and elevate. Holding my foot in position when not in the boot as it seems the ankle which was the recipient of the surgery is inclined to bend, and I’m not sure if this is good or bad? I’ll find out on Tuesday when I do my second surgery followup visit and have the stitches out (I sincerely hope so)

Obscene Read: Most Expensive Valentines Day Experience at Shangri-La Hotel note in above obscene read I noticed the romantic bedroom had twin beds!
