One Hundred Days: Day Twenty-Three

Yesterday I were sitting on a high, I’d met a goal. Today, I are at the beginning again and it feels like I am at the bottom…so this is what they mean by the ups and downs of the recuperation journey. Quite similar to the Startup path; you’ve met your 1000 customer quota, and now it’s time to scale up and attract 10,000! It feels like you are at the starting line again.

I tried the alphabet exercise this morning and sort of fumbled through it. It means air-writing (like air-kissing) the alphabet using my right foot and rotating my ankle to create the letters in the air. After I had been through the twenty-six letters twice, my partner suggested I did it lower case the third time and changed the type face! Even though many of my letters were barely larger than a blob, I could see the point and it’s an exercise I can commit to; twice a day for 28 days.

The Achilles exercise is more main stream, but a bit reverse of what you usually see runners doing, as I can’t put weight on my foot. With my foot high I pull down on the front of my foot with a scarf and hold it with the tendon stretched for five seconds. Five times, twice a day for 28 days. There wasn’t much stretch today…… not nearly as interesting as air-writing letters, but I can see the point.

Conclusion: If I get the point of something I need to do (understand the why) I am far more inclined to commit.

Challenge: Getting from A to B!
