Spread the love

When people come visit from other countries I always ask them…. what food or drink do they miss most in the US….. food they are accustomed to and absolutely can’t find? It’s very interesting and revealing the answers I have received through the years…… needless to say if at all possible I try and accommodate.

I had the exact same thought today… what do I miss the most here on my remote Island while recuperating from my ankle hardware upgrade which happened almost 6 weeks ago on February 2nd ~ check out Day Seven!

You guessed it……. Japanese food……. and some of the very best I ever ate was at MitsuiĀ  Taipei several years ago with my friend Alice and her amazing Grandma who treated us to one of the most memorable meals in my entire life!

What makes memorable? In this case it was the incomparable taste and food presentation, the innovative Interior Design of the space (which they would not let us photograph!) , the flawless service and most important the engagement between remarkable people.

My previous recuperation rambles are below… some more tasty than others…the more recent posts are on page two….
