One Hundred days: Day Forty-Seven
Wood fire season is almost over, but a windy March day is still a good excuse to light a fire and move my work space in close proximity…which is exactly what I did yesterday. I got lots of work done and accomplished a great deal while enjoying the warm glow, and aromatic smell of apple tree logs burning.
Every once in awhile you have the opportunity of getting apple wood to burn in your fireplace, in my case an old apple tree had compromised a septic system with it’s roots and had to be removed. I was the lucky recipient of the logs! Just a few left now… but we have enjoyed them all winter in our fireplace.
I never got around to writing a post yesterday, for Day Forty-Six…….. I’m getting real antsy about wanting to walk again and only hope that everything meets Dr.Reed’s approval after he reviews my ankle update Xrays this coming Wednesday. It’s now been 7 weeks since I broke by ankle, and six weeks since the restorative surgery resulting in my hardware upgrade.
It was especially annoying when the wind came up yesterday afternoon and certain things outside needed to be secured…. and all I could do was watch James from the window taking care of things……I am not a person to sit still and watch others…..
Conclusion: Working next to an open log fire can be very inspirational and productive.
Challenge: Watching others do things one should be doing oneself and not getting stressed!
