One Hundred Days: Day Eighty-Two

Spread the love

Spring has sprung….the wisteria is about to bloom……in fact the flowers are already quite evident on the reclaimed wood pergola.  I am enjoying my small enclosed garden, and in fact had my midday coffee sitting in the sun next to Hotai right in the center of the garden. I am getting around on foot, but oh so slowly! I am much faster in a wheelchair (LOL) but have decided to give it up, and in fact suggested that tomorrow the ramps be removed from the walkway to my front door!

Every step I walk is painfully slow, but at least I am walking. And everyday I try and walk to my limit…..figuring that a Physical Therapist (if I had gone to one) would push me painfully beyond my limits….

The hardest part right now is to get my attention off myself and all the maintenance I have to do related to the care and feeding of my ankle and feet. And it takes a lot of time, time I used to spend on Social Networks! It’s high time I  get on with a normal life again, and spend more time on the fun design and build projects we are engaged in and back to Social Networking!

Today, 12 weeks ago I broke my ankle. Tomorrow 11 weeks ago I had restorative ankle surgery. My previous ankle recuperation journey posts are below………or just go to Images Of Life and pick the most compelling image for a recent update…..
